While that’s great for climate and environmental concerns, it’s not without its challenges for utilities. Current legacy customer information systems (CIS) aren’t built to handle the complexity of billing related rates and programs. Utilities need solutions to enhance the CIS. Otherwise, all the benefits of these rates and programs – cutting peak demand, reducing system costs and saving customers money – will be undone by incorrect bills and poor customer experiences.
